I have been working at my job for four weeks and have yet to be paid. I have already went above my boss and talked to the district manager. She told me I would be paid this week. A my job we are supposed to get paid bi-weekly. The district manager told me that the reason I was not paid last payday was because they mess up on my paperwork and I was not in the systems as an employee. I have given my boss the copies of my timesheet every week, as well as kept copies of my own. I only work part-time,20 hours or less a week, and they owe me almost 60 hours worth of pay. The next payday is friday, but I feel I should not have to wait that long being that it is backpay. I can’t wait till friday. I have books to buy for my classes and other bills. I’m also going out of town for a college buddy’s party on friday. I have no money!!! Is there any government agency that can help me?

I understand how you can make money if you know that stocks will increase in value, but it just doesn’t make sense to me how you can make money if you buy stock that will decrease in value soon, even when you know exactly when they will decrease. it just doesn’t add up, can someone explain?

The Conference will be a Empowerment Conference for women. I do expect people to travel from afar… I also expect speakers to attend. We want to make reservations for a nice hotel, and tour whichever city we end up having the event in.

I gave $1,500.00 in advance. (I have a receipt) to a guy with a legitimate business (auto body shop) to restore my car. The guy (owner) says he is been put in jail for three months for child support problems, he gave me my car back and said he’d pay me when he gets out. actually i am concerned about the “work from home” job, actually companies first attract you and tell that you can earn upto 500-1000 a month, but when somebody send them details, they ask for some deposit like 30-100. i dont know whether after taking this amount they respond you or not?

Friday, July 4th, 2008My payday is on Friday. I have direct deposit to my bank in Texas, (I live in Ohio) it’s my bill paying account. It has really good benefits, that’s why I use it. I have a local bank here in Ohio for spending money. So when I got to work last Friday, there was a sign up saying no one got their direct deposit, which I figured out when I called to listen to my bank info on the way to work. So we were given checks, and not till like 10am. So now I had to put the checks in the ohio account and wait for them to clear, which probably won’t be until tomorrow. Meanwhile I had automatic payments (3 of them) scheduled to come out of the Texas account Friday. I will be hit with double fees from my bank, plus the payee.
Should my employer be responsible for reimbursing me the fees because this was as a result of the company’s error?
Are they legally obligated to since I have had direct deposit for years?
Is it worth the trouble, or just a waste of my time, & cut my losses?

I just saw they are offering this service at the tax offices. Has anyone done it? What are the fees and conditions? This is different than the Refund Anticipation loan, with the Instant Money Advance loan you don’t even need your W-2.
The website says the max amount can be $2,500.
